FUMC Preschool “The ARK” was established as a family service to our community. It is licensed by the State of Texas. The child must be at least eighteen months of age before September 1 of the current school year to attend. Initially, children are assigned to a class according to birth date.
It is our hope to provide your child with the best environment for creativity, imagination and learning. Children have taught us that they learn as they experience. Therefore, during these preschool years of fast physical and emotional growth, we will fill those precious hours with many stimulating activities so that they might experience the world about them. We want them to have a “fun time in a school setting,” making new friends, learning as they go on to further school experiences with a good sense of self-awareness and self-esteem.
We choose teachers who reflect a firm faith and have taken time to learn how to share that faith with young children. Our teaching staff has had experience and training in early childhood education and all are required to have 15 hours of continuing education yearly, in addition to CPR and first aid.
