OPEN DOOR FELLOWSHIP:  Sunday, March 21, 2010, immediately following worship in The Commons.  We will share a "working lunch" as we reset the chairs in The Commons in preparation for Palm Sunday and Easter.  Not only will we work, we will have fun -- this is great way to get to know each other better!  Bring a lunch item that doesn't have to be cooked (sandwiches, salads, pizza, chips, fruit, sweets, drinks) to share.  Everyone -- especially our guests and new members -- is invited!

OUR LENTEN MISSION is collecting scrap-booking materials for our local Child Protective Services (CPS) caseworker, who covers 4 counties.  This caseworker helps children in the foster care system remember and tell their own stories by giving each of them a "life book" in which they can place their family pictures and mementos.  Please bring your scrap-booking materials to the Coffee Area of The Commons, or to the Church Office.

BRING-A-FRIEND SUNDAY:  All Open Door worshipers are challenged to bring a friend to worship on Sunday, April 11!

BIBLE STUDY:  Rev. Valarie Englert leads an Informal Bible Study on Sunday evenings, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, in room 123 (The "Seekers" Sunday school classroom) of the Cameron Education building.  The study is entitled "Bible High Points."  In each free-standing session, we will take at look at well-known narratives or topics, and re-introduce ourselves to them.  The study will break from March 14 through April 4, and will resume on April 11.

Open Door worshippers gather periodically for fun and fellowship at potlucks, socials, and community events.  Watch this space for news about the next gathering!  Contact Rev. Valarie Englert at venglert@fumcrockwall.com with any questions.
