Underlying the current culture war between science and religion is an assumption that   Christians must choose between a scientific or religious worldview in order to remain true to their faith.  But is it possible to incorporate both into our understanding of God and of our place in the universe?

With a background in both science and theology, Dr. Theilig is uniquely qualified to lead us in this discussion.  Earning degrees in geology and a research focus on planetary exploration, she was an intern during the Viking Mission to Mars and, later, a National Research Council post-doctoral research associate at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.  Joining the Galileo     Project flight team in 1989, Dr. Theilig  planned spacecraft activities for the journey to Jupiter and became the project manager for the final two and a half years of the mission.  In 2003, Dr. Theilig entered the Pacific School of Religion where she obtained a Masters of Divinity degree in May 2006.  She maintains an interest in the intersection of science and faith.
