July 9, 2023:  Marty & Noah Filip

Talented father and son performing for all traditional services. Marty plays the soprano and alto saxophones and Noah sings as a baritone.

July 16, 2023:  Noella Barron, Oboist

Noella has played oboe for eight years. She is currently the principal oboist for the Duke Symphony Orchestra in Durham, North Carolina. She has performed with the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra, Rockwall Summer Musicals, Rockwall High School musicals, and in various other solo and ensemble capacities. She has also performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra as a Texas Music Educators Association All-State musician and has been recognized for her performances at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble contest four times. Noella has studied at the Interlochen Summer Arts Academy and has attended summer intensives with Bocal Majority. Her instructors include Susie Rockett and Ivy Carpenter.

July 23, 2023:  Edward C. Gibson, IV, Baritone

Edward C. Gibson, IV has severed in full time music ministry since 2006, in the North Texas, Central Texas, and Texas Annual Conferences until he was called to teach General Music at Stewart Elementary in Conroe Independent School District. Mr. Gibson found his vocation in the public school classroom and was awarded Rising Star, an award recognized to teachers with zero to three years of experience, in 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas, and of Master of Sacred Music from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. Mr. Gibson also has music pedagogy certifications in Kodaly and Orff. He plays flute, is an active volunteer at Wildwood United Methodist Church in Magnolia, Texas, and directs the adult handbell choir.

July 30:  The Pete Branham Group

Pete Branham Jazz Saxophonist

Graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University with a bachelors in Church music, member of Daystar television’s Band, and leader of his own group. Pete Branham performs classic and contemporary jazz, performing in the Dallas area and internationally playing well known songs of the jazz era as well as today’s popular artists. His music adds elegance, excitement and energy. From classic jazz standards to crowd pleasing favorites such as Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Will Farrell, Alicia Keys, Isleys, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, repertoire includes decades of popular music. He resides in Rowlett, Texas with his wife and two children.
