Confirmands in Communion
Part of the Confirmation journey is participating in worship in new and meaningful ways. We encourage our Confirmands to sign up to help serve communion in our Worship Services (Open Door and Traditional) on the first Sunday of each month. Please sign up for dates online.
What does "confiirmation" mean?
United Methodists use the term "confirmation" to mark the first time a baptized Christian publicly "confirms" their intention to live the vows of the baptismal and membership covenant and so becomes a professing member of the local congregation and The United Methodist Church.
Confirmation is a powerful and transformative part of our students’ faith formation. During this journey, students will explore the roots of our Christian and United Methodist heritage, dive into core beliefs and theology, and discover what it means to truly follow Christ in today’s world. At the end of this experience, they’ll have the opportunity to confirm their faith and become full members of First UMC and The United Methodist Church.

Confirmation Class | 2026-2027 | 6th Graders
We will meet on Sundays to learn more about the United Methodist Church and to ask questions about our religon and what we believe.

Saturday, August 29 – 9 AM–3 PM: Confirmation Connection | The Gathering & off-campus outings
Sunday, August 30 – 9:30–10:30 AM: Parent & Student Meeting | The Commons (At least one parent/guardian must attend with each student.)
At the Parent & Student Meeting, we’ll cover everything you need to know: the year’s calendar, curriculum, formation goals, expectations, and more.
