We pick our books for the year September-June at the September meeting. Everyone brings two suggestions and we vote as to the books we want to read that year. Starting in September the moderator will be whoever suggested the book.

The group of various ages, men and women, select a study that includes a book, purchased by members, and a video that covers the material. Each week the discussion is lead by one or more of the group, although no one is required to lead the discussion. Our group seeks to deepen our knowledge of scripture and  how to apply this knowledge to our daily lives.

First Rockwall is blessed with a vibrant prayer ministry, and we are inviting you to be a part of our team. Join us as we lift up names of members and friends in prayer. There is no commitment to attend every week or to even speak prayers aloud. Simply come and participate in the presence of prayer.

Whether you knit, crochet, quilt, or make no-sew blankets, join us to make shawls and lapghans for homebound, hospitalized, assisted living, and blankets for foster children. Socialize, share patterns, work on, and turn in completed projects. Items are prayed over in hopes that the recipient will experience God’s mercy, peace, strength, and healing power.

We get together to craft every Thursday morning from 9 AM-12 PM, from February to November. Join in as we create, craft, and have fun! From wreaths to ornaments to sweet treats, we make it all!  All crafty creations are sold at the Famous First UMC Bazaar on the first Saturday of November every year. All proceeds go toward Missions. Enjoy yourself, make new friends, and give back.

Come join us for a small intimate Bible Study for older men and women who are  looking to spend an hour twice a month, singing old hymns, discussing scripture, taking communion, socializing, enjoying treats and praying for one another.
